The opportunity:

Are you passionate about helping others learn and grow? We’re looking for a dedicated Plant Trainer to join our Paint Shop team at Bayswater. This role is all about supporting new and existing employees through hands-on training and coaching, ensuring everyone is equipped with the skills and knowledge to thrive in their roles. If you enjoy working closely with people, driving continuous improvement, and have a good understanding of Paint Shop processes, this could be the next step in your career.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead Department Inductions for new employees, setting them up for success from day one.
• Provide ongoing mentoring and coaching to team members, fostering a supportive learning environment.
• Conduct Safe Use of Tools & Equipment training, both online and in-person, as required.
• Collaborate with Engineering teams to keep training materials current.
• Identify recurring performance challenges and develop tailored training solutions to address them.
• Monitor training progress in partnership with Supervisors and Team Leaders.
• Ensure all training activities comply with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain strong knowledge of Paint Shop tasks, tools, and equipment to deliver effective training sessions.

About you:

• You bring excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• You’re proactive, reliable, and can manage your workload with minimal supervision.
• You have a strong customer service mindset and enjoy helping others succeed.
• You’re comfortable with paperwork and have good computer skills.
• Experience in training or a willingness to pursue relevant qualifications is highly valued—we’ll support your development!
• A solid understanding of Paint Shop operations and processes is essential.
• You’re adaptable and eager to continuously improve training approaches aligned with the PACCAR Production System.
