The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse / Occupational Health Nurse to join our team in a part-time capacity, working Wednesday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm.

In this hands-on role, you will support the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees through injury management, first aid treatment, health promotion initiatives and return-to-work support. As the site's health professional, you will also lead our First Aid Officer program and work closely with Health & Safety and HR to promote a safe and healthy workplace.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide first aid treatment and medical support for workplace and non-workplace injuries and illnesses
  • Manage injury cases and support successful return-to-work outcomes
  • Act as a member of the Emergency Response Team during workplace incidents
  • Assist with the identification and management of workplace health risks and hazards
  • Monitor injury and illness trends and provide insights to support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Promote employee health, wellbeing and preventative health programs
  • Deliver health education, awareness campaigns and training sessions
  • Coordinate and conduct random and "for cause" drug and alcohol testing
  • Administer workplace vaccination programs
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records across relevant systems
  • Lead and support the site's First Aid Officer program, including monitoring certification requirements
  • Work closely with Health & Safety, Human Resources and operational teams to achieve positive health outcomes
  • Participate in business improvement initiatives and special projects as required
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety legislation, policies and procedures

What we like about you:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Experience in occupational health, workplace nursing, injury management or a similar role
  • Return to Work Coordinator training or the willingness to utilise existing experience in injury management and rehabilitation
  • Current First Aid and CPR qualification
  • Drug and Alcohol Testing certification, or willingness to obtain
  • Strong administrative and record-keeping skills with high attention to detail
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and Teams
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust and credibility across all levels of the business
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capability
