The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Material Planner to join our Supply Chain team. In this role, you'll ensure locally sourced parts are available to support production schedules, working closely with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams to keep operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan and manage material supply to meet production requirements.
• Monitor and expedite overdue purchase orders and deliveries.
• Investigate and resolve material shortages and supply issues.
• Liaise with suppliers and participate in supplier review meetings.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and investigate stock discrepancies.
• Review safety stock levels and order quantities.
• Manage defective, surplus, and obsolete inventory as required.
• Support stocktake activities and inventory control processes.
• Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, Quality, Engineering, and Logistics teams to resolve material-related issues.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across material planning and inventory management.

About you:

• Experience in Material Planning, Supply Chain, Procurement, or Logistics.
• Manufacturing experience highly regarded.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Experience working with MRP/ERP systems; Oracle JD Edwards experience is advantageous.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Qualifications in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field are desirable.
• A continuous improvement mindset and commitment to delivering results.
