PACCAR Innovation Center
The PACCAR Silicon Valley Innovation Center, located in Sunnyvale California, identifies and advances emerging technology research and development for all of PACCAR’s businesses.  The PACCAR Silicon Valley Innovation Center is looking for an ambitious and self-directed Automotive Engineering Supervisor! Requisition Summary

The PACCAR Innovation Center is currently seeking an Automotive Engineering Supervisor to join our team.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Lead an Engineering team to define, prototype and evaluate cutting edge technologies for inclusion into PACCAR product roadmaps.
  • Support the proposal, planning and execution of all Innovation Center Proof of Concept Projects, leading the vehicle design, integration and build.
  • Manage all Program Management and Technology Readiness Processes for the Innovation Center.
  • Travel to PACCAR divisions and support Global Engineering Initiatives including but not limited to Vehicle Electrification, Connectivity, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Development.
  • Support and evaluate Tier 1 automotive technology in key areas for ADAS, Electrification and Connectivity.
  • Maintain all fabrication and truck service facilities and equipment.
  • Support PACCAR business development activates including but not limited to company start-up evaluations, market analysis, and industry conferences.
  • Report out on key technology projects and deliverables to the global PACCAR organization.
  • Provide written and verbal updates to management on program objectives and strategic goals.
  • Develop a high-performance team through leadership, development and training.

You're going to need this to be successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering other relevant fields.  Master’s Degree desired.
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive engineering.
  • Managerial leadership experience preferred.
  • Technical experience in:
    • Automotive product development and or R&D, preferably commercial vehicle.
    • Enabling technologies for AD/ADAS, Electrification and Connectivity including machine learning, computer vision, data mining, real-time mapping, battery technology, e-motors, high voltage power electronics, and cloud computing.
