Job Functions / Responsibilities

We are a small, tightly knit team of engineers that value collaboration and results. We are looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic, and self-directed Sensor Engineer to complement our unique skillsets. If you have a proven track record of excellence, come join us!

Your emphasis will be investigating and evaluating advanced technologies used for Level 2 ADAS/autonomous, electric, and connected technologies. This would include radar, lidar, cameras, IMU, and GPS devices. You will need software experience to script and automate the testing and strong English skills to summarize the results. Additional responsibilities will include systems and software development for autonomous, electric, and connected technologies. It would be great if you have experience with a safety standard such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508, or IEC 60730. You will investigate new technologies and processes that aren’t well documented.

Skills / Competencies

You're going to need this to be successful:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant field is required  
• Master’s degree is highly preferred
• 1+ years of experience if you don’t have a Master’s degree
• Adaptability and creativity with an ability to think outside of the box
• Interest in, passion for, or curiosity about trucks, automobiles, and technology
• Ability to self-direct, even in the face of ambiguity
• A collaborative attitude with a willingness to work in a small team environment
• Willingness to grow personally and professionally while utilizing new engineering processes and techniques to be resourceful in solving complex technical problems

 

Desired technical experience in:

• Radar, Lidar, and camera installation, setup, and evaluation
• Robotics or mechatronics sensing
• Enabling technologies for AD/ADAS, Electrification, and Connectivity including:

• Control systems
• Sensors, Computer Vision (CV), Machine Learning (ML), data mining, signal processing
• Battery, High Voltage Electronics, electrification
• CAN, Ethernet, and wireless communication protocols
• ROS, AUTOSAR DDS, and related technologies
