We currently have an opportunity for a Region Sales Manager - Great Lakes Region

Job Functions / Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to:

  • Manage Great Lakes regional staff and meet yearly business objectives.
  • Develop new sales opportunities in the Great Lakes Region with an emphasis on Private and Vocational fleet sales.
  • Promote and establish a professional and productive working relations with the customers and Dealers in the Great Lakes Region. 
  • Participate in dealer and industry trade shows, open houses, and special events.
  • Recommend changes; provide input and coordinate communication with suppliers, department managers, operations personnel, and regional support staff from other PACCAR divisions.

Skills / Competencies

  • Five or more years' experience selling premium capital equipment, preferably with PACCAR or in the transportation industry.
  • Proven experience at meeting and exceeding challenging business goals through planning and execution.
  • Knowledge of capital equipment markets and fleet/volume selling.
  • Understanding of capital financing.
  • Ability to quickly acquire and apply complex product knowledge.
  • Strong interpersonal and business acumen skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Long and short term planning and execution skills.
  • Strong Microsoft office skills, including Power Point, Excel, Outlook.
  • Knowledge of federal regulations such as Robinson-Patman Act, Sarbanes Oxley, federal and California emissions regulations, etc. is preferred
  • Successfully use a presentation format in selling and communicating with major customers.
  • Extensive travel is required.

Education

Bachelor's Degree is required, MBA is highly desirable.
