Requisition Summary

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, has an immediate opening for a Field Service Manager, in our Great Lakes Region to support products in the field. This position will work with dealers and customers to provide technical support for our products. This position will be located out of our Schaumburg, Illinois office.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

The successful candidate must have the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with fleet management, operational personnel, suppliers, and Peterbilt management to resolve issues in a positive and efficient manner.  Strong interpersonal skills are required, and the candidate must demonstrate independent judgment. The successful candidate must be able to manage multiple priorities, keep management well informed, and display perseverance in bringing issues to resolution.

Skills / Competencies

Technical Skills required include experience in the following areas with Peterbilt or similar products and systems:

Peterbilt products and PACCAR MX Engine:


  • Cab systems (mechanical and electrical)
  • Chassis systems (mechanical and electrical)
  • Aftertreatment Systems
  • Engine electronic diagnostic experience
  • Engine mechanical troubleshooting
  • *Technical Skills required include experience in the Trucking Industry.


Bachelor’s Degree in a technical area is preferred. Five or more years of directly related experience is required.
