Requisition Summary
PACCAR Parts is seeking a people-oriented Human Resources Generalist to provide HR leadership and service to employees at designated PACCAR Parts Distribution Centers (PDC) in North America. This role will directly impact the world-class culture for our PDC employees who deliver industry leading uptime in conjunction with our outstanding supply chain that delivers record levels of inventory availability for our dealers and customers.
This position is based out of our PDC in Rockford, IL and will also provide in-person support to two additional designated PDC (Las Vegas and Oklahoma City). This position will report to the PDC Human Resources Manager.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
Recruitment and Talent Management:
- Support annual goal setting, employee development planning and performance appraisal process.
- Assist with salary evaluations, affirmative action and diversity outreach planning.
- Partner with PDC Office Administrative Managers to streamline new employee onboarding experience.
Training and Development:
- Coordinate Training Schedule and assist with facilitating courses for designated PDC’s as needed and on an annual basis.
- Design new curriculum as needed.
- Work with Human Resources Manager to develop training and development initiatives and employee engagement activities.
Engagement, Rewards and Retention:
- Analyze and recommend programs to support PDC employee engagement and communications.
- Work with Human Resources Manager to administer compensation and benefits plans.
- Coordinate Service Award Program and assists with Annual Service Award Dinner.
- Administer PDC Employee Programs such as: Employee of the Month, PC Purchase, Tuition Reimbursement, New Employee Passports, etc.
Organizational and HR Effectiveness:
- Work with PDC employees and leadership in a collaborative manner to provide uniform interpretation and application of policies, practices and procedures.
- Partner with managers on corrective action, attendance management and performance management.
- Perform investigations to handle employee relations issues.
- Responsible for HRIS (SAP) maintenance including new hires, separations, transfers, salary changes, shift changes, etc.
- Participate in division and Companywide Internal Control audits, and projects that support the human resources needs of PACCAR’s continuous improvement approach.
- Participate in global Human Resources continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory compliance standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field is required. Master’s degree a plus.
- Travel expected 35% - 50% (typically two weeks per month). Ability to coordinate / schedule travel plans as needed.
- Minimum 3-5 years broad Human Resources experience with multi-site / state support.
- Outstanding communication skills (written & verbal), influencing abilities, and customer service orientation.
- Ability to work with employees and managers at all different levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills, ability to work independently, prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize for completion.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Experience using Human Resources Information Systems, Learning Management Systems and Applicant Tracking Systems. Experience with SAP and SharePoint is a plus.
- Strong knowledge base of MS Office required.
- Proficiency in FMLA, ADA, and Workers Compensation.
- HRCI and / or SHRM certification desired, but not required.

Salary Range
At PACCAR, we value talent and promote growth and development. We carefully consider numerous compensation factors including your education, training, or experience. The salary range for this position is $72,200.00 - $108,000.00 annually. Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
