<span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Kenworth Truck Company is seeking a Technical School Program Manager. This exciting opportunity will be responsible for coordinating the efforts of the Kenworth Dealer Service Training Department, Kenworth Dealers, and qualified technical and vocational schools across North America to teach Kenworth and PACCAR systems and principles to aspiring heavy-duty truck and diesel technicians. 


<span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Job Functions / Responsibilities


  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">In conjunction with the Kenworth Dealer Service Council and associated Vocational and Technical Schools, develop and implement a comprehensive training program for recruiting, training and retaining prospective heavy duty truck and diesel service technicians
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Prepare guidelines for MX Pre-Certification, including student training requirements and dealer incentives
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Evaluate and support training delivery to students with on-site visits and classroom attendance
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Work with sponsoring Kenworth Dealers in local markets to support ongoing local program development including the rotation of used trucks and mentoring programs
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Manage distribution and integration of available PACCAR MX engines to qualified vocational schools
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Supply basic MX curriculum and tooling lists to qualified schools
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Prepare vocational school instructors to deliver PACCAR MX curriculum, including the use of online Kenworth resources and the DAVIE4 Analysis Tool
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Coordinate database management and training program access through BCA training website
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Estimate and manage program budget for ongoing curriculum support


<span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Qualifications & Skills


  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">BA/BS degree required
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Technical School instructor, management, or related technical training background required
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Excellent personal computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Outstanding verbal and written communication skills including the delivery of formal presentations required
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Must have the demonstrated ability to manage large, complex projects
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Previous experience working with or coordinating Technical School programs highly desired
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Previous experience with PACCAR MX engines highly desired
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Previous experience in dealership service or management in commercial truck industry preferred
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Demonstrated knowledge of heavy duty truck products and manufacturing process desired
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to develop trusting business relationships
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Diesel engine certifications or automotive OEM service certifications are a plus
  • <span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">Up to 50% travel required
