Division Information

PACCAR Parts is the global provider of aftermarket parts and services to support Kenworth, Peterbilt, DAF and TRP dealers around the world.  This includes 18 distribution centers globally that support 2,200 dealerships and over 1,000,000 customers.  Aftermarket support includes world class customer centers that deliver industry leading uptime in conjunction with our outstanding supply chain that delivers record levels of inventory availability for dealers and customers. 

Requisition Summary

Provide excellent customer service through answering complex part information inquires.  Use research, analysis and business tools to understand and resolve customers’ requests by providing saleable part numbers.  Contribute to a large collection of Knowledge Base content that provides customers with self-service options.  Share knowledge amongst customers, peers and PACCAR division to generate part sales. 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Answer research requests using bill of materials, engineering drawings, vendor files, KnowledgeBase, electroic Catolog and etc to identify saleable replacement parts compatible with original truck systems.  Conduct chassis analysis to validate the accuracy of customers’ requests.  Create a parts lists of components that will be required to change out and new parts to be added. Validate that the requested change and the parts provided will not affect other areas of the truck.
  • Investigate dealer requests. Validate that the request from the dealer is correct for the application of the truck chassis number provided. Determine which part(s) are required based on the information provided by the dealer. Clarify the dealer requests by providing recommendations based on truck knowledge and components.
  • Share knowledge through coaching and training peers. 
  • Research, author and publish KnowledgeBase content for dealer self-service
  • Special projects as needed

Skills / Competencies

  • Proficient use of MSOffice suite and ability to manage multiple web applications efficiently.
  • Experience in Class 8 bill of materials and blueprint reading skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude (specific truck knowledge desirable)
  • Analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
  • Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude
  • Adaptable and detail oriented.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in appropriate major or currently pursuing a degree preferred.
