Requisition Summary

The PACCAR Summer Internship Program provides an opportunity to learn about PACCAR through a work assignment in Distribution Operations.  Each intern will be integrated into division and department meetings, activities and events to ensure an understanding of PACCAR.  You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our dynamic organization, while enhancing your resume.  At the end of your internship, you have the opportunity to present your accomplishments to your fellow interns and senior management.  PACCAR interns have a great deal of visibility within our company.  Don’t miss out on an exciting opportunity!
 

 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Work under the guidance of Capital Budgeting Manager in creation of 2020 projects
    • Coordinating with business owners for addressing scope and benefits
    • Identifying and quantifying savings opportunities
  • Evaluate business need for iForks implementation across distribution network
    • Work with distribution centers to create specific time savings evaluation cases
    • Work with supplier to get price-quantity breaks
    • Develop implementation plan based on need
  • Manage Implementation of New Generation RF Equipment across distribution network
    • Work with distribution centers to create timelines
    • Identifying and quantifying savings opportunities


Qualifications & Skills

  • Currently enrolled, returning or recent college graduate in operations or supply chain management-related field preferred.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to perform and communicate professionally under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate under pressure and possess strong interpersonal skills. Strong group presentation skills. 
  • Six Sigma trained: Lean Belt, Green Belt or Black Belt. exposure or knowledge a plus.
  • Able to work in the office or warehouse physical environments as required. Occassional warehouse equipment operation desired.
