Division Information

PACCAR Parts is the global provider of aftermarket parts and services to support Kenworth, Peterbilt, DAF and TRP dealers around the world.  This includes 18 distribution centers globally that support 2,200 dealerships and over 1,000,000 customers.  Aftermarket support includes world class customer centers that deliver industry leading uptime in conjunction with our outstanding supply chain that delivers record levels of inventory availability for dealers and customers. 

Requisition Summary

PACCAR Parts has an exciting Operations summer internship opening at our PACCAR Parts Distribution Center in Renton, WA. The selected candidate will work directly with industry professionals, gaining exposure and experience in multiple departmental projects.

Job Functions / Responsibilities
  • Development, execution and analysis of the 2021 Dealer Survey under the guidance of the Operations Quality Manager
    • Evaluate 2018 Dealer Survey structure/results and identify changes
      • Ensure transposal of qualitative information to quantitative questioning metrics 
    • Identify vendor, respondents and coordinate execution of survey
    • Use statistical methodologies to evaluate significant results
    • Use qualitative reasoning to derive business improvements
    • Work with Operations network to build action plans to address improvement needs
  • Support new Distribution Center construction projects
    • Work with vendors to negotiate quotes and execute purchase orders
    • Work with stakeholders to develop timelines and implementation plans
Qualifications
  • Relevant coursework or prior internship experience desired
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Self-motivation and energetic personality
  • Team-oriented
  • Flexibility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Strong PC Skills including experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Categorical Data desired
Education

 

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program or graduate program
  • For undergraduates, Junior or senior standing preferred
