Division Information

PACCAR Parts is the global provider of aftermarket parts and services to support Kenworth, Peterbilt, DAF and TRP dealers around the world.  This includes 18 distribution centers globally that support 2,200 dealerships and over 1,000,000 customers.  Aftermarket support includes world class customer centers that deliver industry leading uptime in conjunction with our outstanding supply chain that delivers record levels of inventory availability for dealers and customers. 

Requisition Summary

The PACCAR Summer Internship Program provides an opportunity to learn about PACCAR through a work assignment in Aftermarket Engineering.  Each intern will be integrated into division and department meetings, activities and events to ensure an understanding of PACCAR.  You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our dynamic organization, while enhancing your resume.  At the end of your internship, you have the opportunity to present your accomplishments to your fellow interns and senior management. The Aftermarket Engineering/Product Development Intern responsibilities include gaining familiarity with the tools needed on a daily bases to support OE questions for parts and Parts questions to OE for clarification. Basic engineering background is useful but not required. In addition to day to day communication between divisions special projects/assignments include: enhancing the corporate patent process, developing stocking strategy for new parts, reviewing PDB’s with the end goal of enhancing Parts involvement earlier on in the process of development, working with embedded engineering group to investigate and develop predictive ordering of parts via reasoning engine.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Respond to cross-divisional and internal questions, improving communication channels between divisions of PACCAR 
  • Attend meetings and review product requirements, enhancing involvement earlier on in the design process
  • Develop stocking strategy for new Electric Vehicle parts, and new parts for other major program launches 
  • Enhance patent & proprietary part management process 
  • Support the launch of new aftermarket programs designed to enhance market share and profitability
  • Correspond with key suppliers to ensure compliance with the aftermarket packaging approval process
  • Develop content for marketing materials that communicate the features, advantages and benefits of new products introduced into market


  • Pursing a degree in Engineering or Business Analytics field
  • Desire to experience impacting design from a aftermarket perspective
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite


Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Progress
