Requisition Summary

The PACCAR Parts Summer Internship Program provides an opportunity to learn about PACCAR through a work assignment in Data Processing.  Each intern will be integrated into division and department meetings, activities and events to ensure an understanding of PACCAR.  You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our dynamic organization, while enhancing your resume.  At the end of your internship, you have the opportunity to present your accomplishments to your fellow interns and senior management.  PACCAR Parts interns have a great deal of visibility within our company.  Don’t miss out on an exciting opportunity!

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Assist with IT Operations Six Sigma Projects
  • Support of internal PACCAR Parts users with PC and mobile device issues
  • Identify and resolve hardware and software problems on servers and network equipment
  • Assist PC/LAN Manager with managing asset inventory and related documentation
  • Maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for system administration
  • Major infrastructure projects planned for 2018 include the replacement of desk phones at all PACCAR locations with Voice over IP technology, deployment of new PCs including upgrades to Windows 10 and Office 2016
  • Opportunities for cross-training include software development, project management, and security access administration


   Qualifications & Skills

  • Currently enrolled, returning or recent college graduate     
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivation and energetic personality
  • Team-oriented quality
  • Flexibility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well alone or with others
  • Strong PC Skills including experience with Microsoft Office Suite
