Division Information

PACCAR Parts is the global provider of aftermarket parts and services to support Kenworth, Peterbilt, DAF and TRP dealers around the world.This includes 18 distribution centers globally that support 2,200 dealerships and over 1,000,000 customers.Aftermarket support includes world class customer centers that deliver industry leading uptime in conjunction with our outstanding supply chain that delivers record levels of inventory availability for dealers and customers.

Requisition Summary

Perform varied cost accounting activities under minimal supervision to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions, analysis, and general ledger activity. Additionally, this position performs and/or assists with statistical inventory counts, internal control reviews and Sarbanes-Oxley documentation. This position will report to the cost accounting supervisor.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Prepare Sales-per-day reports in an accurate and timely manner. Perform daily margin review and analysis
  • Daily sales batch review analysis and posting
  • Reserve Analysis/Reconciliation: Dealer sales incentives and other sales programs
  • Communicate across business departments to ensure proper analysis of reserves and monthly forecast
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and analyze key accounts through the reconciliation process
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting schedules
  • Develop and implement process improvements to improve efficiency and reduce costs 
  • Perform and/or assist with assigned statistical inventories and Parts Distribution Center audits
  • Understand the relationship of operational and financial systems and develops reports in Infinium, Excel, Access and SQL
  • Perform SOX testing
  • Support internal and external audit requests
  • Other duties and accounting functions as assigned

Qualifications

  • BS / BA in Accounting required
  • Master's Degree  or CPA preferred, but not required
  • 3 to 5 years of progressive accounting experience with increasing responsibility
  • Excellent analytical capabilities and attention to detail with a “big picture” focus   
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines and self-motivated
  • Understanding of US GAAP
  • Requires strong PC skills with Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint
  • Must be able to travel periodically within the US and internationally
