Division Information

PACCAR’s Information Technology Division (ITD), located in Renton, WA utilizes cutting-edge technology to provide systems development, consulting, voice and data communications services to the entire corporation, which has high visibility in the technology sector.

 

Position Summary

As a leader in PACCAR’s Salesforce Center of Excellence, the Salesforce Architect will guide digital transformation by aligning business and technology, defining the 'why and how' that drives solution success, selecting the right product features that maximize business value, and advocating for best practices that create frictionless customer experiences.

The Architect will help guide PACCAR’s customer engagement strategy across multiple business domains and Salesforce Clouds.

 

About Our Team

The Salesforce Center of Excellence works with PACCAR business units including Kenworth Truck Company, Peterbilt Motors Company, PACCAR Parts, PACCAR Financial Services, and others to design and build great interactive experiences with PACCAR dealers and customers. 

 

Functions

  • Establish Salesforce design and architecture standards that will enable development at the “speed of business”.

 

  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to define a robust data model that ensures data is clean, consistent and of maximum value.

 

  • Partner with internal business units to define and design solutions to fulfill high value business processes.

 

  • Recommend the best solution for a given set of requirements and articulate the trade-offs involved in choosing one solution over another.

 

  • Collaborate with development teams to determine how best to implement solution (decisions around declarative vs programmatic vs AppExchange, etc.).

 

  • Participate in creation and management of PACCAR’s Salesforce roadmap.

 

Skills

  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

 

  • Expert knowledge of Salesforce Lightning, APEX and Visual Force

 

  • Strong work ethic with a customer service focus

 

  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

 

  • Experience integrating Salesforce with other enterprise systems, both on-premise and cloud native

 

 

Credentials

  • Minimum of 2 years of Salesforce development experience (Apex/VF), integrations, and developing and executing data migrations

 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience creating the technical architecture for complex Salesforce implementations

 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technology implementation for full lifecycle enterprise software projects

 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years work experience). If you have an Associate’s Degree, you must have an equivalent of a minimum of 6 years work experience

 

  • Salesforce Technical Architect Certification Desired
