Division Information

PACCAR Parts is the global provider of aftermarket parts and services to support Kenworth, Peterbilt, DAF and TRP dealers around the world.  This includes 18 distribution centers globally that support 2,200 dealerships and over 1,000,000 customers.  Aftermarket support includes world class customer centers that deliver industry leading uptime in conjunction with our outstanding supply chain that delivers record levels of inventory availability for dealers and customers. 

Requisition Summary

The Product Definition Analyst is responsible for determining strategic brand packaging, inventory stock requirements, lifecycle part attribute definition and Vehicle Maintenance Repair Standard assignment.  This position leads the aftermarket part strategies with buy-in from Pricing, Engineering, Marketing and Materials departments.  This includes defining the aftermarket product offering for first fit components and provides product expertise throughout PACCAR Parts. 


Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Define Vehicle Maintenance Repair Standards to assist in lifecycle management and meet fleet customer requirements.
  • Direct suppliers and Division Engineering to provide complete assembly breakdown information including Service Bill of Materials, Kits and CAD data.
  • Collaborate with the Pricing department to determine appropriate price structure based on critical parts identification.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Materials department on stocking recommendation and availability of parts.
  • Publish breakdowns to electronic catalog.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelors Degree in business, engineering or related area required.
  • Solid critical thinking skills with the ability to communicate and collaborate in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Mechanical apptitude.
  • Experience with engineering processes and design elements.
  • Knowledge of aftermarket sales and parts distribution, an understanding of supplier capabilities.
  • Proven quantitative, analytical, verbal, written and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions and meet deadlines on projects to achieve customer expectations.
  • Three or more years experience in a commercial or technical role within truck/automotive field is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the design and functionality of truck systems and components, engine products, and service and repair practices is a plus.
  • Ability to speak Spanish, French or Portuguese is a plus.
  • Lean belt is a plus.
