Requisition Summary
Join our award winning communications team and develop exciting and high-profile content for distribution in print, digital, advertising, public relations, and internal communication channels. Use your strong writing, editing, problem-solving, decision-making and research skills to tell engaging stories about PACCAR Parts, Kenworth, Peterbilt, and TRP products and services. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, manage high impact projects and assume a leadership role in a variety of marketing communication projects and programs.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Study the objectives, promotional policies and needs of the organization to develop and manage public relations strategies that will influence public opinion or promote ideas, products and services. Respond to requests for information from the media.
  • Research, write, develop and edit bi-weekly customer articles for e-mails. Work with the Digital Marketing Manager and advertising agency for e-mail preparation and delivery. 
  • Write and edit PACCAR Parts publications for dealer network and PACCAR employees. Coordinate with internal and external contacts in the development of content and photography. Responsible for sourcing and coordinating layout, photography printing, production, and distribution.
  • Assist departments and division managers with speechwriting as needed. Prepare and/or edit organizational publications for internal and external audiences, including employee newsletters and stockholders' reports.
  • Partner with advertising agencies on various advertising and marketing projects.
  • Strong communication skills to project manage other marketing projects such as writing content for product marketing, marketing campaigns, and other internal communication projects. 


Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or Advertising, or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years of writing and editing/or related communications experience as well as project management experience.
  • Expertise with the following software applications: Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator; Macromedia Contribute a plus.
  • Spanish language skills a plus. 
  • Writing samples are required - preferred published writing samples.
