Requisition Summary
Provide leadership for the Resident Engineering Integration and team. Establish priorities and goals for group’s workload consistent with management and departmental objectives. 
Job Functions / Responsibilities

Manage the activities of the ECN/BOM Coordinators. Coordinate closely with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials, Division Engineering, Change Control, suppliers, and other departments to ensure timely resolution of product related issues in the class 7 & 8 truck manufacturing process. Ensure timely reviews of New Product Implementations are completed and backlog changes are done correctly. Assist in documentation that ensures ECN plant readiness objectives are being met.


Supervise the activities of the PACCAR Engine Liaison which includes coordination with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Materials, Division Engineering, Change Control, Paccar Technical Center, and Paccar Engine Company to ensure engine related projects are completed in a timely period.  Assist with new product implementations, design and integration of the engine, programming updates, and pilot builds in coordination with PTC, ITD, Engine Plant, and Design as needed. 


Participate in new product implementation planning and other design reviews. Participate in developing and administering operational procedures; including ISO, engineering documentation, department procedures, etc.  Prepare and provide formal performance feedback. Support prototype builds and project implementations. Participate in workshops at all levels of the organization to provide engineering and truck plant perspective.

Coordinate and manage the Chassis In Process activities for Renton Physical inventories.


Qualifications & Skills

Required Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering or related degree
  • 5+ years of engineering experience
  • 2+ years supervisory experience
  • Experience with Product Development Processes
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues to resolution.
  • Familiar with Bill of Material and Selection methods
  • Strong, effective communication skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional team environment
  • Proven organizational and project management skills
  • Proven ability to perform in a fast-paced, results-oriented production environment and manage multiple and shifting priorities
  • Proven ability to lead a dynamic team, provide ongoing technical and developmental guidance  
  • Heavy Truck and/or Automotive product knowledge 
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite of products including Access


Desired Qualifications: 

  • MS or MBA
  • Six Sigma or related training
