Manager, Global IT Suppliers Job

POSITION PURPOSE

 

Performs essential Global IT Supplier functions including the management of contracts, software inventory and licenses, analyzing supplier spend and related data, developing supplier dossier’s, buying goods and services, researching and updating supplier information, recommending and implementing process improvement opportunities, documenting functional processes, and ensuring compliance with all record retention and internal control policies.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsible for

  • Participate with the Purchasing organization in supplier sourcing and the negotiation of agreements to establish the best possible terms and conditions to meet the IT division requirements. 
  • Create and maintain mutually beneficial long-term relationships with suppliers to develop product strategies, new technology initiatives and to deliver on commitments through Business Review meetings. 
  • Establish strong relationship with global colleagues to ensure organizations work effectively and consistently
  • Identify opportunities and process changes to generate cost savings.
  • Manage the SOW and tracking process
  • Maintain purchasing files and functional process documentation
  • Develop and report on monthly departmental metrics, supplier spend, and trending information

 

EQUIPMENT AND MATERIAL USED

Intermediate to advanced computer system skills including use of word processing, databases, and spreadsheets. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Team Services for internal and supplier portal development and maintenance. 

 

EDUCATION
  • BA Degree in Business Administration or related field.

 

TYPE AND NUMBER OF YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
  • 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience in at least one of the following areas preferred: Purchasing, Contract Management or Microsoft Team Services.

 

SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Experience negotiating and managing IT license agreements.
  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Ability to influence with all levels of the organization and ensure timely action is taken on date driven activities.
  • Ability to be creative and help drive process improvement.
  • Ability to solve complex problems while demonstrating good judgment.
  • Ability to work under pressure while displaying confidence and professionalism.
  • Ability to work productively with minimal direct supervision.
