Division Information

PACCAR Parts is the global provider of aftermarket parts and services to support Kenworth, Peterbilt, DAF and TRP dealers around the world.  This includes 18 distribution centers globally that support 2,200 dealerships and over 1,000,000 customers.  Aftermarket support includes world class customer centers that deliver industry leading uptime in conjunction with our outstanding supply chain that delivers record levels of inventory availability for dealers and customers. 
 

Requisition Summary

This position’s key responsibilities include delivering “World Class” support to the distribution center in a professional and friendly manner, troubleshooting application, hardware and network issues, engaging with and educating your customers; documentation, analysis and resolution of help desk tickets; and working with local and remote super users groups, employees and operations management to quickly provide high quality solutions to IT problems.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

Supporting wireless Zebra & Intermec devices, including printers, mobile PCs, voice headsets and scanners. Provide ongoing system and process support for Zebra, Honeywell and Intermec repairs. Monitors the performance of 1500 RF devices through SOTI MobiControl device management and recommends and develops means for improvement.  Research technical issues and drive to resolve the root cause.

  • Technical Support – troubleshoot hardware and software problems relating to warehouse functions at the Parts Distribution Centers
  • Consulting – advise end users on system enhancements and future projects. Assist with planning of new functionality
  • Documentation and Training – develop and maintain procedures, diagrams, and other documentation relating to support duties and assist with end user training
  • System Testing – apply standard testing methods to system changes and enhancements along with documenting resultsThis

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Ideal candidates will have strong background with wireless devices used in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Knowledge of Intermec, Honeywell and Zebra devices is a plus
  • 2-4 years of experience implementing, managing and troubleshooting devices in a warehouse production environment
  • Experience with SOTI MobileControl (Mobile Device Management) required
  • Advanced Troubleshooting skills in a multi-user, high pressured environment is strongly desired
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, with strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with little or no supervision
  • Ability to quickly learn new skills and ability to solve problems independently with minimal guidance
  • Possess the desire for continuous improvement
  • Project Management experience
  • Travel 10%

Desired Skills:

  • 2-5 years’ experience with Mobile Device Management Technology (MDM) I.E SOTI MobiConrtol, AirWatch, Zebra StageNow
  • Networking and infrastructure with Cisco wireless technologies
  • Server administration
  • Data analysis using SQL or PowerShell
  • Experience managing vendor contracts and relationships

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology required
