Division Information

PACCAR Parts operates a network of parts distribution centers offering aftermarket support to Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF dealers and customers around the world. Aftermarket support includes customer call centers operating 24 hours a day throughout the year and technologically advanced systems to enhance inventory control and expedite order processing.
 

Requisition Summary

If you are a highly motivated, collaborative, action oriented individual, we have an excellent opportunity for you at PACCAR Parts!  The HR Specialist is responsible for providing HR support and customer service to both local and remote employees in the US and Canada.  The HR Specialist is part of a collaborative team responsible for implementing Human Resource (HR) initiatives and establishing HR functional excellence. Primary responsibility is to provide HR support to the PACCAR Parts business leaders, administer HR programs and policies, participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide excellent customer service to employees and business leaders.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

Recruitment and Talent Management:

• Supports recruitment efforts including interview scheduling, candidate communication and applicant tracking system maintenance
• Assists with annual Affirmative Action Plan data compilation
• Administers new employee onboarding experience including first day orientation and new employee Passport program


Training and Development:
• Coordinates and communicates Division Training Schedule
• Monitors 90-day performance appraisal process
• Supports annual performance appraisal process including data entry and filing 
• Coordinates Division Tuition Reimbrusement Program


Engagement, Rewards and Retention:
• Supports annual benefits Open Enrollment through coordination of communication and responding to employee questions as needed
• Administers Commute Trip Reduction program
• Coordinates building events such as blood drive, holiday food and toy drives, and book fair


Organizational and HR Effectiveness:
• Assists employees with benefit and payroll related questions and issues
• Processes exempt and non-exempt payroll including bi-weekly data entry and audit
• Processes HR-related Service Requests
• Ensures compliance with policies and procedures
• Participates in global HR continuous improvement initiatives and HR Projects as assigned
• Manages HR communications including employee announcements, events, building announcements and general HR information
• Assists in the preparation of monthly global headcount and turnover reports for senior leadership
• Create, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field is required.
  • 0-2 years of Human Resources experience 
  • Proficient with MS Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint.
  • HRIS experience preferred; SAP a plus.
  • Ability to effectively accomplish multiple priorities in established time periods.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach.
  • Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work with confidential information and adapt to continually changing priorities.
  • Must be a creative and innovative problem-solver with the ability to develop an analysis based on researching HR trends.
  • Ability to work with employees and managers at all different levels of the organization.
