Requisition Summary

The Demand Planning Analyst is responsible for managing part forecasts in support of the PDC Inventory Planning team using integrated forecasting applications.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Actively manage forecasts of parts included in seasonal promotions, incorporating all pertinent information to help obtain optimal results.
  • Achieve, track, and maintain forecast accuracy according to stated goals.
  • Promote continuous improvement of forecasting processes and procedures.
  • Work closely with Inventory Planners in achieving optimal inventory management results.
  • Manage special projects as necessary.
  • Provide timely, quality information to Materials Management through regular updates.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Statistics, or related field is required.
  • Six Sigma experience a plus.
  • Forecasting/Inventory control experience or education.
  • Background in Inventory Control, Finance, Economics, or Mathematics.
  • Advanced PC skills in Word, Excel and Access. (a plus)
  • Strong Self-management skills and initiative.
  • Knowledge of Blue Yonder/JDA or other forecasting software.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong analytical ability to monitor and identify trends in large volumes of data.
  • Perform other duties as required.
