Continuous Improvement Project Manager (Grade 31) Job

Requisition Summary

Responsible for supporting the North America Controller group to implement process efficiencies by suggesting ideas to improve efficiencies, evaluating current processes and finding opportunities to remove unproductive work. This position will closely work with the process owners to identify and understand a process gap and to develop solutions and furthermore, promote a culture that encourages employees to look for ways to enhance the current process. Additionally, this position will work with multiple improvement strategies such as Six Sigma, Data Analytics, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to develop and monitor improvement processes. This position will report to the North America Division Controller.

 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Work with the North America Controller group to streamline processes
  • Apply Six Sigma, Data Analytic, RPA or other relevant tools to improve process capability and eliminate defects
  • Help develop and lead cross-functional process improvement teams
  • Challenge conventional wisdom by demonstrating successful application of new mythologies to improve product and process quality
  • Foster a continuous improvement mindset with within the Controller department
  • Maintains effective communication across the Controller department
  • Support internal control reviews for PACCAR Distribution Centers

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Master's Degree preferred, but not required
  • Green Belt Certified; Black Belt preferred
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Basic statistical knowledge and intermediate data analytic knowledge / experience
  • Excellent analytical capabilities and attention to detail with a “big picture” focus   
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines and self-motivated
  • Requires strong PC skills with Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint
  • Must be able to travel periodically within the US and internationally

Salary Range: At PACCAR, we value talent and promote growth and development. We carefully consider numerous compensation factors including your education, training, or experience. The salary range for our Continuous Improvement Project Manager position is $89,900 - $140,600 annually. This position is also eligible for a holiday gift and offers relocation assistance benefits. Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
