The Role

 

The Business Analyst focus is to drive innovation and deliver solutions that change the way we do business and move PACCAR into the future. A successful candidate will be highly self-directed, an excellent problem-solver and be able to work with all levels of the organization. Strong leadership skills and excellent communication skills are required. This Business Analyst will work as part of the ‘Dealer Systems’ Agile Team to deliver projects that meet customer expectations and achieve the business benefits.

 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

 

Programs:

•Manage the relationship between global business partners, project teams and vendors using the Pega BPM Platform and Integrated Applications.

 

Planning and Execution

•Collect and analyze the business requirements transfer the knowledge to development team

•Perform tasks associated with pre-project consulting and business case development.

•Elicit high level project objectives and project success criteria.

•Work with the business to create well-crafted user stories with appropriate acceptance criteria.

•Work with the development team to elaborate user stories and size user stories.

•Work with business stakeholders to build a backlog of demand (user stories) that are consistently prioritized.

•Identify dependencies between projects and other systems.

•Accurately estimate time required to complete business analysis tasks and deliverables.

•Evaluate the data collected through task analysis, business process, surveys and workshops.

•Communicate effectively with business and internal teams to deliver product’s functional requirements

•Facilitate workshops as needed to scope projects and gather detailed product requirements.

•Work as part of a team to deliver projects that meet customer expectations and achieve the business benefits, following Agile development methodology.

•Acting as a liaison between Customer Service, Warranty, Sales, Dealer Development, Marketing, ITD, Kenworth/Peterbilt, PPD, and suppliers.

 

Monitoring and Controlling

•Certify the outcome of the software developer efforts.

•Provide on-going support by:

•Initiating process improvement opportunities to enhance the systems supported

•Seeking technological solutions to organize, automate, and synchronize business needs

•Recognizing the impact of software changes to the business

•Identify recurring issues and propose long-term solutions

•Training internal and external clients on the use of the tool

•Creating technical documents to define enhancements to the tool

 

Other

•Up to 10% travel required

 

Qualifications & Skills

 

•Four+ years of experience in a business analyst role

 

Knowledge

•Strong knowledge of Agile software delivery practices

•Strong knowledge of the Pega BPM platform

•Familiarity with programming, logic sets, and relational database structure

•Strong understanding of business process, preferably in a Claims application

•Product knowledge and experience in aftermarket sales, service, and distribution

 

Proficiencies

•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications

•Demonstrated Project Management skills

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical data and User Stories

•Strong analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills

•Proven ability to work in a team oriented, multi-functional business environment with little supervision

•Ability to handle multiple tasks with varying schedules and shifting priorities; highly organized

•Ability to generate technical solutions based on business needs.

•Experience working with a technical, system, and/or business team to develop creative approaches to problems and effectively communicating changes to stakeholders

EDUCATION:

 

•Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science or related field required
