The Role

As an IT Internal Control Analyst, you will be working directly with the IT and business staff to help ensure that SOX compliance activities completed properly. You will assist in training, either one-on-one or as a team, on best practices of meeting PACCAR and SOX governing requirements.  Information Technology is a complex environment and you will be involved in the proper design and effectiveness of internal controls, and ensuring that all activities meet Completeness, Accuracy, and Timeliness guidelines.

 

The Team

As an IT Internal Control Analyst, you will be part of a unique team that oversees the SOX IT compliance globally.  You will be working directly with PACCAR employees at multiple locations within the United States, Europe, Australia, Mexico, Canada and Brasil. You will have an opportunity of sharing your knowledge of IT processes and help the team identify improvements in documentation and/or testing.  There is never a dull moment in IT Internal Controls as the subject matter has a broad range of processes and key controls.  You will be working with an exceptional IT Internal Control team and will soon find yourself working hard, collaborating on best practices, and successfully completing a regulatory requirement for PACCAR.

 

Essential Functions

  • Identify, obtain and analyze appropriate information to gain an understanding of the processes/functions under review.
  • Perform SOX internal control testing over financial systems, including IT General Controls.
  • Document tests and findings through the completion of audit workpapers in the PACCAR Governance System (PGS).
  • Ability to analyze complex data using Microsoft Access and Excel.
  • Provide audit support for internal and external auditors.
  • Work with other PACCAR divisions to understand and complete IT internal control activities.

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • One or more years IT industry experience preferred.
  • One or more years of recent, relevant, and progressive experience in IT auditing or SOX testing preferred.
  • BA/BS in Business or Computer Science preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented and the ability to handle multiple tasks within deadlines.
  • Advanced skills including use Microsoft Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Conduct business with the highest ethical standards and treat confidential information appropriately.
  • Work effectively both independently and as a part of a global team.
  • Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
