For more than forty years, Dynacraft has provided the company’s truck divisions and PACCAR Parts service parts division with high quality components, subassemblies, and specialized services. Dynacraft has production facilities in Algona, WA, Louisville, KY and Plano/McKinney, TX.

Dynacraft is expanding by opening a third facility in Texas. The first phase of this expansion is starting up operations in a temporary facility in Plano, TX. The Plano operation will operate while we build our permanent Texas facility, planned to be located in McKinney, TX. The Manufacturing Distribution Supervisor reports to the Assistant Plant Manager and is responsible for day-to-day operations and supervision of the hourly shop floor personnel.  This position is a key member of a team responsible for startup of the Plano facility. All members of this team will wear multiple hats covering all functional areas during startup. The role’s focus will evolve as the plant stabilizes and increases production. This is an opportunity to participate in building the foundation for the Division’s future growth.

Position Summary

The Maintenance and Facilities Unit Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating a Maintenance Team in the support of production.


Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Proficiently lead a team of journeyman mechanics and electricians by assigning work/tasks, developing/training subordinates, initiating personnel actions such as promotions transfers and vacation scheduling and other duties as assigned.  Responsible for furthering the Company interests in safety, quality, controlling costs and personnel development.
  • Plans, organizes, assigns and coordinates work to achieve production schedules.  
  • Initiates and recommends appropriate personnel actions regarding new employee selection, promotions, training and employee counseling.
  • Personal commitment to quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Investigates and initiates work method, process control, layout and operating improvements, coordinating such efforts with appropriate support functions.
  • Other duties as assigned, including administrative responsibilites, i.e. completing reports, preparing schedules, etc. 

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.  Areas of study preferred are Business, Manufacturing, or other technical degree.
  • At least two years demonstrated leadership in front line supervisory, lead, or equivalent experience, preferably in a production environment.
  • Desired mechanical or electrical aptitude training/experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft applications. 
  • Ability to initiate and lead change through continual process improvements.
  • Ability to operate and actively participate in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop effective work teams and solve problems. 
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and process improvements.
  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement tools and methodologies, i.e..  Six Sigma, Lean Management a plus.
