Braden’s history began in 1924 with the Braden Steel Corporation located in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Braden originally supplied equipment for the oil field that included drive heads for popping shallow wells, Glenn Braden’s close involvement with oil production and the automobile entering the American industrial age coincided in 1927 where he introduced the first Braden truck mounted winch designed for unloading and positioning loads in the oil field.

PACCAR Winch is located at 1204 West 20th Street in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.  We have an immediate need for an experienced Quality Assurance Inspector on 3rd shift.   Hours are Monday-Friday 10:30p.m. to 7:00a.m. with $2.40 per hour shift differential.   PACCAR Winch offers competitive benefits to include medical, dental, vision, 401K and Pension Plan, tuition reimbursement, and sick leave benefits, the position offers a pay range of $19.69- $28.29, with $.80 skills pay, based upon experience and education.   Interested candidates should apply at

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

  • Examine parts for defects, such as cracks, corrosion, pits, and stress and fatigue marks


  • Measure dimensions, contours, trim lines, angles, radii, and coordination of parts for conformance to blueprints and specifications, using precision measuring instruments and devices


  • Calculate allowable dimensional deviations, utilizing knowledge of shop math


  • Verify configuration of component parts and location of fastener holes, using check fixtures and measuring instruments. Inspect welding, heat treating, bonding, brazing, and machining of parts for conformance to specifications


  • Observe or conduct testing of parts to ensure that functional performance and physical characteristics conform to fabrication standards and specifications, using testing and measuring equipment. 


  • Obey all safety policies


  • Maintain work area in a safe, clean, and organized manner




  • High School Diploma/GED equivalence
  • 3 to 4 years manufacturing experience

Technical Skills:


  • Strong analytical, reporting and surveillance skills.


  • Strong communication and organizational skills.


  • ability to operate precision test instruments which may require fine motor skills


  • ability to recognize obvious irregularities in form, fit, or function


  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and detailed work sheets, and capable of performing mathematical calculations required in association with blueprints and work instructions


  • Knowledge of metrology, computer controlled measurement devices, and geometric tolerance techniques.


  • Ability to proactively demonstrate sound judgement and safety management practices.


  • Superior attention to detail and ability to multi-task efficiently under pressure.


  • Flexible, dependable, able to follow directions and possess a positive attitude.


  • Desire to provide exceptional customer service internally and externally.


  • Work effectively as a team member in a time sensitive environment              


  • Possess basic computer skills for the completion of time cards, to access production information, and to record test results.


Physical Demands and Work Environment:

PACCAR Winch is a manufacturer of industrial winches.  Employee is working around heavy machinery.  Employees must be able to operate safely in a busy industrial environment.  Additional physical requirements include standing, walking, bending 90% of the time.  Ability to squat, kneel on both knees, bend forward at the waist and hold hands above head.
