Requisition Summary

The PACCAR Technical Center is looking for an intern interested in working on Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). This work includes system design, wireless communication configuration, controls development, and testing. The intern will work alongside PTC systems engineering and controls experts. Key requirements include a strong interest in vehicle controls systems, wireless communication, computer networking,  and machine learning;  as well as excellent communication and organization skills, and being enrolled in a program leading to a degree in Engineering.

Division Information

The PACCAR Technical Center provides engineering excellence to the truck, engine, and winch divisions of PACCAR Inc through innovative product development and testing. The Technical Center is located in the Skagit Valley about 65 miles north of Seattle, Washington. 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing components of PACCAR ADAS concepts
  • Assist in developing tools and methods for training and testing ADAS functions
  • Summarize the results and accomplishments in written technical reports and presentations to technical staff at PACCAR

Qualifications

  • Must have experience with coding in C++ and other embedded controls languages
  • Must have experience with Linux and Windows computing environments
  • Desire to work in the automotive industry
  • Experience with wireless communication desired
  • Experience with model-based controls desired
  • Experience with video game graphics desired

Education

Bachelor's Degree In Progress
