Division Information

The PACCAR Technical Center provides engineering excellence to the truck, engine, and winch divisions of PACCAR Inc through innovative product development and testing. The Technical Center is located in the Skagit Valley about 65 miles north of Seattle, Washington. 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

 Liaison between Vehicle Calibration, Powertrain and Truck Divisions for technical execution to subsystem software and
calibration updates
• Collaborate with technical leads to help drive content definition and develop timelines in alignment with other system updates to
support launch
• Develop and manage the execution of the vehicle software testing milestones in collaboration with technical leads and Global
Engine Project Lead Engineer (PLE)
o Manage a vehicle testing timeline in collaboration with the Global Engine PLE to outline each system's software
deliveries and respective vehicle milestones
o Coordinate vehicle functional sign offs for subsystem software and calibration updates
o Facilitate hand-off from development teams to validation teams responsible for target testing, active mileage
accumulation and compliance testing
o Document and communicate relevant software levels for respective platforms to ensure test engineers are informed
o Manage software and calibration content reviews
o Engage project teams to communicate content, test summaries and risks to the project
o Facilitate risk assessments and communicate of any project changes that impact the vehicle milestones
o Build and facilitate management reviews and solicit formal approval for major project milestones, including project
• Understand and work to resolve the roadblocks impacting delivery to the project
• Communication:
o Responsible for communicating status to engineering and management
o Coordination of information, timelines, software levels etc. across the project team
o Communicate to line and project management technical and/or project level roadblocks as required


Required Qualifications

3 years of demonstrated individual contribution in relevant technical field
• Prior Project/Program management experience preferred
• 5-8 years of relevant work experience preferred
• Technical familiarity across disciplines to understand potential impact of project changes
• Team leadership skills
• Ability to summarize technical issues and communicate effectively in a cross-functional work environment
• Self-directed, excellent analysis and engineering judgment required
• Organized and disciplined with ability to manage personal workload and a willingness and initiative to respond to shifting time
and project demands.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Ability to travel



Bachelor of Science Degree required.
