Division Information

The PACCAR Technical Center provides engineering excellence to the truck, engine, and winch divisions of PACCAR Inc through innovative product development and testing. The Technical Center is located in Skagit Valley about 65 miles north of Seattle, Washington. 

Requisition Summary

We are seeking an HR Specialist to provide full service support and service to the PACCAR Technical Center. This position will perform HR related strategic activities and initiatives as well as administrative duties and responsibilities.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Work in a collaborative manner with HR personnel to provide uniform interpretation and application of policies, practices and procedures. 
  •  Employee relations activities incIluding developing collaborative relationships with employees and managers, conduct investigations, identify problem resolution, provide counsel on policy interpretation and employment law, advise on employee development, and compensation administration.
  • Build positive relations through employee communications and events.
  • Manage immigration processes.
  • Recruit summer interns and manage the summer intern program including onboarding, exiting, coordinating leader presentations and leader lunches.
  • Back-up recruiting as needed
  • Implement comprehensive onboarding processes for new hires, transfers, and interns.
  • Conduct exit interviews and use information as needed to improve processes
  • Support implementation of PTC mentor program
  • Participate in global HR projects.
  • · Manages department’s HRIS (SAP) maintenance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of applicable HR experience or equivalent
  • Must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Must be able to handle and prioritize a demanding workload.
  • Thoroughly proficient in PC skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with employees and managers at all different levels of the organization
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance with EEOC, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, FLSA, and other state or federal laws.
  • Ability to work with employees and managers at all levels of the organization

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline or Human Resources required.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • PHR or SPHR or other HR certifications preferred.
