The Paccar Technical Center is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to the development and validation of emerging technologies such as vehicle electrification and autonomous driving systems. The Paccar Technical Center is located in scenic Mt. Vernon, Washington north of Seattle and south of Vancouver, British Columbia. 
 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

 

The PACCAR Global Engine team is looking for a driven Intern to support the development of data analytic solutions within in the Test Engineering department. This position will have an opportunity to utilize a variety of technologies along with core engineering and computer science fundamentals to test and develop solutions that provide highly generic, robust, and streamlined software solutions to multiple departments and divisions within PACCAR

 

  • ​​​​​​​Develop robust software to assist with data archival, analysis, and reporting utilizing a variety of technologies
  • Develop, maintain and test applications that support processes for data analysis, software release, software configuration management, hardware-in-the-loop simulation, and rapid controls prototyping activities
  • Improve existing documentation and write new documentation
  • Establish and document processes governing development activities

Qualifications

 

  • Strong attention to detail, a passion to solve problems and develop robust solutions
  • Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Python, Java, C, C++, C#, embedded software development a plus
  • Database development experience a plus
  • The ability to work in a lean setting
  • Ability to work within multiple stages of the software development life cycle a plus

Education

 

Pursuing Bachelor’s candidate in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering
