Requisition Summary

This position is located within the program management team at PTC.  Responsibilities include production logistics coordination with battery suppliers for PACCAR’s electric vehicles, pilot build material planning, test property material planning, battery tester development coordination, overall battery development schedule alignment and budget forecasting.  The successful candidate will be proficient at engaging with other divisions (Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF) as well as external organizations in collaborative activities.

Division Information

The PACCAR Technical Center provides engineering excellence to the truck, engine, and winch divisions of PACCAR Inc through innovative product development and testing. The Technical Center is located in the Skagit Valley about 65 miles north of Seattle, Washington.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Provide program management of PACCAR’s battery suppliers and validation partners
  • Develop and maintain project timelines
  • Develop and maintain project budgets and forecasts
  • Battery integration logistic support
  • Pilot build and test property logistics support
  • Participate in the development of improved and standardized processes related to program management activities

Required Qualifications

  • Interest in electric vehicles.
  • Knowledge of product creation methodologies and processes.
  • Should have a strong background in project management.
  • Able to communicate effectively across functional boundaries, as well as up and down the leadership chain. 
  • Able to establish a strong network across various organizations and disciplines.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Candidate must be organized and self-motivated, identifying and proactively addressing opportunities for program improvement.
  • Evaluate proposals using sound judgment and present recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using MS Office Suite, Visio, MS Project, Project Online, Office 365 and other project management software desired.
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese
  • Experience with Windchill 
  • PMP Certification
  • Leadership or Operations Management Experience
  • Knowledge of with PACCAR’s product creation process
  • Six Sigma experience a plus
  • Experience in testing, automotive industry, and various vehicle technologies a plus.=

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree with project management background preferred
