This Materials Laboratory Technician position assists engineers in performing materials analyses and manages the chemical inventory of the materials lab.

 

Job Functions/Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparation and completion of routine tests
  • Prepare clear, detailed documentation of test results
  • Maintain laboratory equipment
  • Manage chemical inventory and documentation

 

Qualifications & Skills

 

  • Industrial Technology degree, AA/Vocational tech degree in chemistry, engineering, or technically related discipline, and/or related work experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Working knowledge of chemical compatibility
  • Familiarity with laboratory safety practices
  • Good organizational skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
  • Flexibility to respond to shifting priorities and project demands
