Material Handling Specialist

The Material Handling Specialist performs daily receiving, delivery, packaging, and shipment duties of component boxes and materials. Conducts scheduling of orders, ensures accuracy of packaging products, and scans bar codes within the SAP system. Works with other employees and departments to resolve shipping and receiving matters.

The PACCAR Technical Center provides engineering excellence to the truck, engine, and winch divisions of PACCAR Inc. through innovative product development and testing. The Technical Center is located in the Skagit Valley about 65 miles north of Seattle, Washington.

•    Responsible for the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
•    Completes daily inbound receiving of product and packages and notifies recipients accordingly.
•    Scans barcodes of shipping modules to the SAP system for record keeping.
•    Coordinates and provides support for employees, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products to resolve shipping and packaging matters.
•    Follows up, monitors, and ensures Standard Operation Procedures are adhered to.
•    Performs and completes any other tasks/projects as assigned.

•    Minimum three (3) years of related warehouse experience within the areas of material handling, shipping and receiving, distribution, and/or operations.
•    Dangerous Goods Shipping certified Per U.S.DOT 49 CFR 172.704
•    Forklift experience required
•    Good understanding of basic/fundamental warehouse shipping and receiving procedures.
•    Experience in SAP system is preferred.
•    High school diploma or equivalent.
•    Ability to perform multiple tasks and work independently.
•    Ability to perform within a changing workload and/or priorities and meet order schedules with quality results.
•    Ability to collaborate and work well within a team environment.
•    Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
•    Verbal and written communication skills.
•    Computer skills are preferred (i.e.: Microsoft Office products).
