Division Information

The PACCAR Technical Center provides engineering excellence to the truck, engine, and winch divisions of PACCAR Inc through innovative product development and testing. The Technical Center is located in the Skagit Valley about 65 miles north of Seattle, Washington.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

·         Work closely with the Analytics team members to identify, design and build appropriate datasets for complex experiments

·         Build data expertise and own data quality for allocated areas of ownership.

·         Develop tools and libraries that will help analytics team members more efficiently interface with huge amounts of data

·         Work with teams cross-functionally to explore and understand our data and business needs

·         Perform data analysis to generate business insights.



Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Curious, self-driven, analytical and excited to play with data
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Knowledge of database systems
  • Knowledge of R
  • Initiative on solving problems and completing tasks in a reasonable time frame.
  • Written and verbal communication skill
  • Strong team contributor

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong programming skills: Python, Scala, C # or Java
  • Hadoop, Spark, MapReduce, Hive
  • Familiarity with machine learning and statistical modeling a plus.



Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Physics or a related quantitative field.
