Requisition Summary
The Financial Analyst – SAP & SOX Compliance will be a key member of the Mississauga accounting and control team, who will lead change to existing business processes and requirements, support SAP implementations, and ensure POC’s Sarbanes-Oxley and internal control programs are completed timely and efficiently. The position will also work and liaise with the accounting organizations at Kenworth, Peterbilt, and PACCAR Inc’s corporate office in Bellevue, WA to support the month end financial statement close and reporting process and provide local support in respect of SAP S/4HANA general ledger, fixed asset accounting, accounts payable, and procurement.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Support SAP implementations for the Mississauga office.
- Critique current business processes and recommend and operationalize improvements.
- Facilitate local SAP support and regression testing.
- Lead Sarbanes-Oxley and internal control testing and documentation including sample selection, support collection, and testing according to PACCAR methodology.
- Prepare timely financial reports (actual v. budget and/or forecast) and related analyzes.
- Prepare journal entries and reconciliations that support the month end financial statement close process.
- Prepare monthly recons and working papers.
- Journalize employee expenses facilitated by Concur in SAP.
- Manage and/or assist with special projects.
- Manage cross-charges and intercompany allocations including the cross-country advance process.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required (Master’s in Accounting or CPA preferred)
- 3 – 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including hands on experience using SAP S4/HANA.
- Exceptional Microsoft office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access).
- Ability to influence and work with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Self-starter, able to meet deadlines and work as part of a team.
- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls
