Requisition Summary

PACCAR Leasing Company is seeking motivated applicants for the position of Lead Technician. Our PacLease Technicians assume a high level of responsibility, supporting our field teams in their delivery of client services while consistently providing high quality work. This position is critical to the success of PACCAR’s company stores, providing excellent customer service and leadership in every day activity.
This position will perform a variety of skilled tasks including proper maintenance, repair, overhaul and adjustment to any part(s) of a diesel or gasoline powered truck or tractor.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, independent worker. The candidate must possess a membership to the Ontario College of Trades and have basic knowledge of the Ministry of Transportation rules and requirements. The Lead Technician will work 1st shift Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Run shift by assigning jobs, handling break-downs and assisting walk-ins.
• Perform diagnostic inspections on general truck-tractor systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspection of truck-tractor components.
• Perform repairs to truck-tractor components.
• Complete required paperwork to reflect hours, parts and lube, which are utilized within each job function.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Process Work Orders.
• Assist in the training of new employees.
• Supervise the quality of work within the shop.

• Assist in processing warranty claims.

• Mentor apprentices in the shop.

 

 

 

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years truck-trailer repair experience.

• Licensed Lead Technician required.

• High School/Secondary School diploma required.
• Active Journey Person membership to the Ontario College of Trades (this will be verified during the interview process).
• Safety conscious.
• Customer Service Experience.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Capable of completing job functions without repeat repairs.
• Flexibility with work hours.
• Demonstrated Leadership skill including ability to supervise, make decisions and use good judgment.

Education
  • High School Diploma required.
