Division Information

Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, is headquartered in McKinney, TX. a suburb of Dallas. Dynacraft is a diversified global manufacturer of PACCAR medium- and heavy-duty truck parts sold under Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF nameplates. For fifty years Dynacraft has provided the company’s truck divisions and PACCAR Parts division with high quality components, subassemblies, and specialized services. Dynacraft has production facilities in Algona, WA, Louisville, KY, and McKinney, TX.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Act as frontline Quality Assurance for PACCAR OEM’s & suppliers
  • Provide analytical support to Dynacraft process owners regarding product / process quality performance
  • Internally audit to ISO 9001 standards and assist in annual third party audits
  • Ensure PACCAR standards are maintained.
  • Benchmark other PACCAR locations and non-PACCAR locations for best practices
  • Assist in development of and co-lead execution of Quality department goals and objectives
  • Establish, monitor, and lead process control initiatives focused on improvement, including SPC
  • Assist Corrective Action initiatives to drive to robust root cause and permanent corrective action
  • Support the product development process (APQP), including Process Control Plans, Safe Launch Plans, PPAP, and Auditing.
  • Lead and/or assist in training plant personnel in quality concepts and techniques.
  • Represent Dynacraft Quality Assurance to customers and supplier representatives, both on and offsite
  • Comply with and expand upon Dynacraft Business Operating Systems, Quality Management Systems, and overall objectives to ensure safety, quality and productivity goals are achieved.
  • Assist in the development of a high performance Quality team through coaching, mentoring and leading by example  

Qualifications & Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proactive thought and actions
  • Must lead by example with the ability to effectively engage at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of Quality Management tools, including measuring equipment, SPC, FMEA, and Control Plan methodology
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications including National/International standards
  • Five (5) years manufacturing experience, with at least (2) years of direct Quality experience
  • Possess PC based computer proficiency with all Microsoft Office products and Minitab or equivalent
  • Demonstrated and proven ability to develop and facilitate team efforts, positive results
  • Project management experience  

Education & Experience

  • Experience with ISO 9000/9001/14000/14001, TS16949, or QS 9000 QMS’s in a related capacity
  • Position is primarily first (1st) shift, yet candidate must have flexibility to work as required
  • Bachelor's degree in technical, business, or related professional field
  • Minimum two (2) years direct QMS experience

 

 EDUCATION/TRAINING DESIRED:

  • SAP experience
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Lean training/experience
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt training/experience
  • AIAG tool usage training/experience
  • CMM familiarity a plus
