Division Information

Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, is headquartered in McKinney, TX. a suburb of Dallas. Dynacraft is a diversified global manufacturer of PACCAR medium- and heavy-duty truck parts sold under Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF nameplates. For fifty years Dynacraft has provided the company’s truck divisions and PACCAR Parts division with high quality components, subassemblies, and specialized services. Dynacraft has production facilities in Algona, WA, Louisville, KY, and McKinney, TX.

Requisition Summary

Dynacraft is looking for a Product Engineering Supervisor to manage a team of Product Engineers.  Product Engineering provides engineering support to the truck divisions, works directly with our suppliers, looks for cost savings and provides product expertise to other internal depts. This position will report directly to the Dynacraft Division Engineering Manager.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Manages Product Engineering Team; including training and career growth of each team member.
  • Manage group’s workload including tasks pertaining to ECNs, Deviations, SRDCs and RFQ
  • Help plan future projects pertaining to new business, cost savings and product improvements.
  • Create and supervise Six Sigma projects to support division goals
  • Direct team in efforts to support production, QA, Project Management, Materials and Quality.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to take on new challenges, learn skills to contribute to the organization as a whole, and be confident in identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead team in exploring new technology that can be applicable to our products or processes.
  • Collaborate efforts to manage our suppliers with Purchasing, Materials and Quality.

Qualifications

  • Product and Project knowledge gained through a minimum of four years of related experience, preferably with PACCAR. 
  • Self-motivated leader, with the ability to handle multiple tasks with varying schedules and shifting priorities. 
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills; especially with our customers.
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work both independently and as a team member when required. 
  • Must be proficient with MS Office products. 
  • Ability to read part/assembly drawings. 
  • Prefer previous experience with fluid flow routings including HVAC and fuel Lines, emissions and aftertreatment products, axles and fuel tanks. 

Education / Training

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or applicable field required.
  • Pro-E or similar 3-D modeling experience required.
  • Professional Engineer License (PE) desired.
  • Six Sigma training strongly desired.
  • Supervisory experience desired.
  • SAP and WindChill experience desired.
