Division Information

Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, is headquartered in McKinney, TX. a suburb of Dallas. Dynacraft is a diversified global manufacturer of PACCAR medium- and heavy-duty truck parts sold under Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF nameplates. For fifty years Dynacraft has provided the company’s truck divisions and PACCAR Parts division with high quality components, subassemblies, and specialized services. Dynacraft has production facilities in Algona, WA., Louisville, KY. and McKinney, TX.

Requisition Summary

The Materials Manager reports directly to the Operations Manager and is responsible for leading the Dynacraft materials and logistics staff (local, remote, and supplier-employed) who manage inbound freight and inventory to provide an optimized and cost-effective uninterrupted flow of material for all Dynacraft manufacturing and distribution facilities. The Materials Manager leads the design, development, direction and implementation of programs and processes to manage Dynacraft’s multiple supply chains.

The ideal candidate is a leader and is proactive in taking action to drive supply chain improvement and will have demonstrated success in making lasting improvements. Fact-based decision making is a requirement for success.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Manage the division materials and logistics departments in Washington and Kentucky.
  • Establish performance standards and objectives for the materials and logistics organizations that support Dynacraft key operating objectives (Material Availability, Delivery Reliability, Inventory Management, and Profit).
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and develop strategic plans to increase productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Interface with production, customer service, engineering, quality, corporate purchasing and suppliers to resolve major supply chain constraints.


  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and proven ability to supervise employees with minimum of three years management experience.
  • Ability to foster teamwork, encourage innovation and drive for results.
  • Proven negotiation skills and excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to summarize complex issues and present solutions to senior management.
  • Understanding of production facilities, assembly operations, heavy-duty truck knowledge and SAP are strongly desired.
  • Demonstrated competency with cross-functional engagement and collaboration.
  • Working knowledge of and experience implementing material planning principles  
  • Understanding of Lean/Six Sigma Principles.


  • Four-year degree in Business Administration or other related field required.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or other related field strongly desired.
