Division Information

Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, is headquartered in Algona, WA. Dynacraft is a diversified global manufacturer of PACCAR medium and heavy-duty truck parts sold under the Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF nameplates. For more than fifty years, Dynacraft has provided the company’s truck manufacturing divisions and PACCAR Parts service parts division with high quality components, subassemblies, and specialized services. Dynacraft has three manufacturing facilities in Algona, WA and Louisville, KY, and McKinney/Plano, TX.

Requisition Summary

The company is looking for an energetic leader to have a significant impact as the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. The successful candidate will initially focus on startup of the new facility, including planning and managing the plant buildout, and developing equipment specifications and requirements for the plant and product programs. The position’s ongoing role is managing the plant’s manufacturing engineering, facility, and maintenance teams.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Manage the build out of the Dynacraft Texas plant including developing equipment specifications and requirements for the plant and product programs.
  • Manage daily activities of the engineering, facility, and maintenance teams including employee development.
  • Develop and drive a strong culture of high performance, excellent quality, and teamwork.
  • Provide guidance on operations performance metrics improvements.
  • Identify and coordinate capital investment opportunities.
  • Participate in developing and executing departmental goals and objectives including department budget.
  • Continuously improve the production process through improvements to equipment, tools, procedures or other factors impacting production capability.
  • Responsible for installation and rearrangement of plant and production equipment ensuring projects are completed on-time and within budget.
  • Perform other projects and assignments as required.
  • Ensure compliance with Corporate and Division policies, procedures and standards.
     

Qualifications & Skills

  • A minimum of three years supervisory experience in an operations/production environment. 
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with drafting programs including AutoCad, ProE, etc.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, work under pressure, and make decisions independently.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, with the ability to read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
  • Understand industrial electricity, be able to read and interpret electrical schematics, understand NEC codes and Arc Flash requirements for voltages up to 480V.
  • General fabrication and design knowledge and familiarity with shop equipment.
  • Understanding of Six Sigma practices.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
