Division Information

Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, is headquartered in McKinney, TX. a suburb of Dallas. Dynacraft is a diversified global manufacturer of PACCAR medium- and heavy-duty truck parts sold under Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF nameplates. For fifty years Dynacraft has provided the company’s truck divisions and PACCAR Parts division with high quality components, subassemblies, and specialized services. Dynacraft has production facilities in Louisville, KY and McKinney, TX.

Requisition Summary

The Administrative Assistant reports directly to the McKinney site Plant Manager. This position works collaboratively with the plant team to support plant’s goals and initiatives. Responsibilities in this area require working independently, maintaining confidentiality, and using good judgement while providing operational, administrative, project, and office technology support with minimal direction. This position will perform other duties as assigned by the management team.

Here's what you will do in this role:

  • Route and distribute Purchase Orders for additional approval in accordance with established authority matrices. 
  • Manage all aspects of Division relationships with suppliers of MRO products and services, including the commercial and contractual requirements with respect to total cost, quality, delivery and customer service. 
  • Support locating sources of supply, obtaining quotations and bids and purchases assigned items in accordance with price, quality and schedule standards. 
  • Identify areas of opportunity to consolidate and streamline purchasing related activities being conducted at other PACCAR locations divisions. 
  • Develop, negotiate and implement strategies resulting in reduced product or service cost, improved supply chain performance and enhanced product and service quality. 
  • Issue change orders on product price, specification, quantity, etc. within established limits of authority. 
  • Monitor receipt of desired product quality and quantity, report deficiencies and implement corrective action as necessary. 
  • Additional projects as needed.

You're going to need this to be successful: Required

  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including ability to professionally interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintains confidentiality and exercises discretion and diplomacy at all times.
  • Works independently within scope of responsibilities, anticipates problems, and uses sound judgement to act appropriately.

Job Functions/Knowledge: Preferred

  • Supports plant management team with reports, presentations, coordinating events/meetings, managing visitor calendar, booking travel, processing expense reports, etc.
  • Manage MRO functions for the facility, including monitoring supply levels, procurement and issuing purchase orders.
  • Complete transactions in SAP for inventory adjustments.
  • Act as back up to receptionist and covers breaks and lunch daily. Duties include answering phones,and greeting visitors. 

Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent directly related work experience.
  • Experience making domestic/international travel arrangements preferred.
  • Minimum of three-five years of work experience required, preferably in executive-level administrative support or project management
