Requisition Summary

Manage the material implementation segment of Engineering Change Notices. Assure that processes requiring Plant/ Division coordination for new product implementation and product changes are well defined and supported. Coordinate the material segment of these changes with the supplier, to establish a mutually agreed upon implementation date while minimizing surplus and obsolete inventory.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Review Engineering Change Notices and assess for potential impact on operations.
  • Identify issues and develop interdepartmental strategies for implementation of Engineering Change Notices.
  • Track project implementation status including: plant and supplier inventory levels, PPAP status, tooling status, and other critical information.
  • Direct the materials organization toward stated project implementation objectives. 
  • Analyze overall project impact to materials. Identify and communicate pertinent information regarding lead times, inventory, costs and project financial risks to Change Control and Materials management.
  • Work in partnership with Engineering and Division Materials, Corporate Quality, Corporate Purchasing, suppliers and the plants to ensure smooth project implementations.
  • Coordinate and process disposition of obsolete material associated with ECN implementation. 
  • Create reports and write scripts as required. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 


  • 2-3 years of experience in materials or manufacturing support preferred. 
  • Self-motivated, organized, and flexible to a consistently changing and developing environment. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including; written, verbal, listening and presentation are required. 
  • Knowledge of statistics, supply chain management, distribution practices, EDI, inventory management, and production environments strongly desired. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in fast paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects.
  • Negotiation skills, including conflict management. 
  • Mechanical aptitude including ability to read blueprints and communicate technical information clearly.
  • Proficient with personal computers including; Excel, Access, and an understanding of the CMS-80 system. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with minimal supervision. 


Four-year degree in Business Administration (or other related field) or 5+ years industry experience required.
