Division Information:

Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, is headquartered in McKinney, TX. a suburb of Dallas. Dynacraft is a diversified global manufacturer of PACCAR medium- and heavy-duty truck parts sold under Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF nameplates. For fifty years Dynacraft has provided the company’s truck divisions and PACCAR Parts division with high quality components, subassemblies, and specialized services. Dynacraft has production facilities in Algona, WA, Louisville, KY, and McKinney, TX.


Requisition Summary:

The Facilities Technician will provide a wide variety of skilled facility maintenance support, with concentration on a specific specialty trade for the IT Division. This individual will be one of the main point of contact representing the team.


Job Functions / Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance work
  • Ensure building systems, including Electrical, HVAC and associated equipment operate reliably through implementation of aggressive preventive maintenance program
  • Able to read blueprints and other technical diagrams
  • Install or assist third party vendors in installing new systems and equipment
  • Assist internal departments with moving of furnishings and modular office systems
  • Assist external divisions with HVAC and Electrical related activities
  • Monitor and coordinate work performed by outside contractors
  • Suggest methods to improve services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of facility tenants
  • Set up for office events and meetings
  • Provide support for the Data Center and Network Operations Center
  • Troubleshoot fire panel issues
  • Performs Basic Plumbing Repairs
  • Oversee repairs performed by third party vendors
  • Develop/Update AutoCAD drawings
  • Perform electrical and/or HVAC maintenance and repairs within scope of license per Washington state code.
  • Work with management to create and implement operating and emergency procedures for facilities related systems.
  • Generate reports on critical systems as requested by management.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 6 years of recent, related experience, 4 of which must be with a large Data Center
  • Knowledge regarding OSHA general safety standards related to work involving electrical and mechanical tasks in an office environment. 
  • Must be able to move and/or lift equipment (up to 50 pounds), climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
  • Must possess working knowledge of methods, practices, procedures, materials, and equipment involved in custodial and other facility maintenance work.
  • Possess active Electrical and/or HVAC license
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, availability to work “on-call” 24 hours/day for emergencies, and flexibility in schedule and priority demands
  • Knowledge of PCs and computerized control systems
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC and PC CAD software
  • Formal training on HVAC, electrical systems and/or other technical crafts
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, including active listening, problem solving when under pressure, and facilitation 
  • Must be able to work in elevated environments
  • Must be safety conscious and provide excellent customer service
  • Thermal Imaging Certification desired


Education and Certifications Preferred/Required:

  • Four year degree in a related field preferred
  • Department of Labor EL07 Electrician Maintenance or higher required license

Work Setting:

  • Workspace is located in the Facilities area
  • Requires frequent sitting and walking
  • Position could be required to go to all areas of the division
  • Availability to work “on-call” 24 hours/day for emergencies, and flexibility in schedule and priority demands.
  • Ability to occasionally lift equipment up to 50 pounds.
