Division Information

Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, is headquartered in McKinney, TX. a suburb of Dallas. Dynacraft is a diversified global manufacturer of PACCAR medium- and heavy-duty truck parts sold under Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF nameplates. For fifty years Dynacraft has provided the company’s truck divisions and PACCAR Parts division with high quality components, subassemblies, and specialized services. Dynacraft has production facilities in Algona, WA., Louisville, KY. and McKinney, TX.

Requisition Summary

The Cost Supervisor/Manager position will provide the ideal candidate the opportunity to work in a growing and dynamic manufacturing environment with exposure to professional growth and advancement.  The position works with Senior Management including the Controller, General Manager, Operations Manager and other department managers.  The position has a high potential for growth and requires an individual that will take initiative and be a self-starter.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Manage:  The day-to-day Cost Accounting and Pricing functions for the Division. Responsible for supervising, mentoring and motivating a professional staff size of three.
  • Cost Accounting:
    • Ensuring standard costs are accurate
    • Analyzing sales, cost of sales and gross margin
    • Participating in various month-end closing duties, including review of journal entries, financial reports and variance accounts
    • Working with Operations to ensure inventory accuracy including coordinating statistical  inventory audits
    • Facilitating labor study updates and Bill of Material audits
    • Monitoring / analyzing freight costs, including developing freight factors
    • Supporting the preparation of various schedules for monthly management reports
    • Performing various product profitability analysis
  • Pricing:
    • Managing pricing activities including new price generation and updates
    • Coordinating pricing strategy formulation as well as driving pricing actions to enhance profitability
  • Special Projects: Including system implementations, performing internal control reviews and supporting SOX activities, assisting with year-end activities, performing process improvements.

  • Ability to remove obstacles and proven track record of successful execution.
  • Strong organizational skills required to manage multiple projects.
  • Deadline-driven and self-motivated.
  • Strong computer skills; proficiency in Excel and Access
  • Ability to work independently, handling multiple tasks and changing priorities while meeting non-negotiable deadlines.

Education, Training & Experience

  • BS/BA Accounting degree required
  • 4+ years of relevant accounting experience with increasing responsibility required
  • CPA or MBA preferred
  • Big 4 public accounting experience preferred
