Division Information

Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, is headquartered in McKinney, TX. a suburb of Dallas. Requisition Summary

The Division Engineering Manager is responsible for Product Engineering, Resident Engineering and the Product Life Cycle Management team. This position will support current production for a wide range of products including Fluid Flow routings, Axles, Fuel Tanks, Emissions Systems and fittings.   Work closely with the Business Development team to build and apply strategies for growth and evaluation of new product lines.  Close coordination with all division departments to support project changes, short term part substitutions, and support business expansion objectives. 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Responsible for recommending and evaluating product changes and resolving product issues for the division—evaluates technical feasibility of proposed projects and recommends implementation plans
  • Reviews product designs for the division; proposes implementation actions, obtains timely approvals, implements plans, and validates outcomes
  • Continuous process improvement through application of Six Sigma methodology
  • Develop and manage assigned capital budget projects within budget and on schedule
  • Prepares bid packages, reviews bids received and makes sourcing recommendation
  • Manage staff at onsite and remote locations. 


  • Proven leadership in a manufacturing environment—thorough understanding of business and acquisition processes
  • Experience in a wide variety of manufacturing and subassembly processes, such as machining, metal forming, injection molding, plastic forming, semi-automated assembly equipment, plating/painting, testing, etc. highly desirable
  • Familiar with industry standards and government regulations for the trucking market
  • Ability to make accurate estimates for material cost, equipment/tooling cost and labor for new product ideas
  • Ability to be creative and find unique solutions to be competitive while also ensuring safety, reliability and low impact to environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively, while meeting non-negotiable deadlines
  • Minimum five years related experience; minimum two years in a supervisory role
  • Strong people manager with experience recruiting and mentoring
  • Excellent communications skills verbal and written
  • Strong PC and CAD skills
  • Familiar and experience working through APQP processes and continuing development of APQP processes.   

Education / Training

  • B.S. Engineering degree required (Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred)
  • MBA or Masters in Engineering preferred
