Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, is headquartered in McKinney, TX. a suburb of Dallas. Dynacraft is a diversified global manufacturer of PACCAR medium- and heavy-duty truck parts sold under Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF nameplates. For fifty years Dynacraft has provided the company’s truck divisions and PACCAR Parts division with high quality components, subassemblies, and specialized services. Dynacraft has production facilities in Louisville, KY and McKinney, TX.

Requisition Summary

The Area Manager will reside at the McKinney, TX location and report to the Plant Manager. The Area Manager is responsible for assisting in the development of the strategic direction for the Plant in support of Dynacraft’s vision and goals as well as supporting the Truck Plants and Aftermarket Department. This person will be specifically focused on leading the team responsible for developing and building PACCAR’s electric battery cells being supplied to the Truck Plants across North America. This person must be passionate to develop this new technology, open to working with multiple divisions, departments and individuals, while being creative and visionary to build a new work area and process with the capacity to see exponential growth over the coming years.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Assure that all Dynacraft Standards are maintained and improved throughout all operations, these include but are not limited to Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Process and Procedural standards. 
  • Work closely with multiple departments and teams to develop the battery cell production. This will include, but not limited to assembly processes, assembly layout and assembly standards to continually elevate the quality, safety, and efficiency of this unique and evolutionary product.
  • Provide consistent and reliable supervision of personnel; assign duties in accordance with established schedules and customer requirements.
  • Train and evaluate performance of direct reports; provide regular feedback; prepare employee evaluations; recommend disciplinary action as may be appropriate. 
  • Provide Plant management with timely information regarding performance and changes.
  • Play an active role in promoting positive employee relations and engagement.
  • Be involved in recruiting and succession planning.
  • Participate in projects related to training and leadership development.
  • Benchmark other PACCAR locations and non-PACCAR locations for best practices.
  • Perform projects and assignments as required.
  • Participate in special assignments; Six Sigma/continuous improvement activities, PACCAR-wide initiatives, and other projects.
  • Complete root cause analysis documentation for quality related issues and process/product audits.
  • Be able to work 10 hours days.


  • Experience with SAP/RF Operations preferred.
  • Experience managing supervisor level positions preferred.  


  • Bachelor’s degree, supplemented with a minimum of two-year production/distribution supervisory experience is required.
  • Master’s Degree and Six Sigma Certification desired.
