Division Information

Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, is headquarted in Algona, WA.  Dynacraft is a diversified global manufacturer of commercial vehicle parts and components sold under the Kenworth and Peterbilt brands.  For more than forty years, Dynacraft has provided the company's truck divisions and PACCAR Parts distribution centers with high quality components, subassemblies, and specialized services.  Dynacraft has production facilities in Algona, WA, Louisville, KY and Plano, TX. 

 

SUMMARY:

 

Develops and administers training programs for employees, assesses training and development needs for the facility, helps individuals and groups develop skills and knowledge, creates training manuals, presents in-person training sessions, monitors training for effectiveness.

 

Job Functions/Responsibilities

  • Managing (GCA) Global Corrective Actions system for compliance
  • Managing the performance and development of the Technical Specialist   
  • Map out training plans for new hires (Coordinators, Unit Managers and Technical specialist)
  • Design and develop technical training programs using Learning Guides (training manuals), (JSS) Job Specification Sheet, (SWI) Standard Work Instructions, (EWI) Electronic Work Instructions   
  • Select appropriate training methods or activities (e.g. simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training)
  • Responsible for tracking training by employee and maintain records that are available to operations
  • Develop and prepare technical educational/training aids and materials, as needed
  • Develop training metrics and competency assessments to gauge overall impact of training program
  • Gather feedback from trainers and trainees after each educational session
  • Maintain updated curriculum database and training records for level four employees
  • Host train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts
  • Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment
  • Research and recommend new training methods and technology
  • Evaluate effectiveness of training courses and provide summary reports to management, determine impact of training on employee skills and corporate goals
  • Responsible for conducting individual and team skills gap analysis
  • Managing technical training courses for all levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced)
  • Ensure all new hires undergo basic technical training
  • Assume Unit Manager role as business needs dictate
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule as needed
  • Performs other duties as required

 

 

 

Qualifications/Skills

  • Four-year degree in education, training, manufacturing, or related field is highly preferred
  • Experience developing learning strategies that include digital learning
  • Must have technical writing skills to complete and maintain training documentation
  • 1-2 years related experience in manufacturing
  • Work experience as a trainer, coach, or training facilitator, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience defining, tracking, and reporting metrics on the effectiveness of content
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, familiarity with web delivery tools
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal at all levels within the organization
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple assignments and prioritize work
  • Ability to manage cross functional teams involving multiple levels of the organization.
  • Ability to understand and apply continuous improvement initiatives.
