REQUISITION SUMMARY
PACCAR is seeking a quality manager to support our growing business. In this role you will be driving change byworking with he business to ensure high standards of quality and standardizing processes along the way.
JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement a 5-year strategic plan to continuously improve the PPQA Department
- Manage the Corporate audit team performing vehicle product quality audits at all plantmanufacturing sites.
- Manage the execution of process audits at all PACCAR Plants including formal documentationand report out to senior management
- Respond to deviation requests including documentation of approvals and rejections
- Update the Quality Audit Program by incorporating customer, dealer, and plant concerns andproduct improvement opportunities.
- Report plant quality performance monthly, at the end of each audit, and after each round toDivision and Corporate senior management.
- Conduct audits of competitor trucks for comparison and write summary reports
- Ensure consistency of audit process at all plants.
- Conduct regular
- training, interact with plantauditors to obtain feedback, and update the Product Quality Audit Manual to ensure clarityand understanding.
- Organize and lead annual meeting of plant quality managers.
- Organize and lead annual meeting of plant product quality auditors.
- Act as product owner for plant EWI (Electronic Work Instructions) system.
- Actively participate in specifying requirements and testing of new EWI system releases.
- Coordinate regular meetings of plant EWI coordinators.
- Ensure processes and procedures for EWI administration are established and maintained.
- Audit the EWI system to confirm data integrity at the division and plant levels.
- Travel up to 25% of the time, with ability to travel internationally.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- A minimum three to five years experience in heavy-duty truck / engine assembly, preferablywith PACCAR products.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and have familiarity with PACCAR specifications.
- Solid data analysis skills using Excel, Minitab, and Tableau.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including proven presentation abilities to awide range of audiences.
- Ability to deal effectively with conflict and reach resolution through negotiation.
- Highly organized.
- Computer skills to include SharePoint creation and management.
- Class 8 operators’ license desired. (Should have previous experience driving Class 8 vehiclesand have the ability to obtain CDL in a reasonable amount of time if need arises).
REQUIRED EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
- Trained as a Six Sigma Belt, preferable Black Belt
